While working with the athletes, we determine their weak points as well as specific movements that their sport requires out of them. Once these are noticed, we help the athlete strengthen these specific areas so that they can be stronger, faster and have less injuries in their sport.
Workouts range from focusing on speed, to jump workouts as well as overall strength improvement. If an athlete has a certain injury, we work to heal the injury and strengthen the muscles that allowed the injury to occur initially to help prevent it from happening again.
You will not find another gym that spends as much time on your athlete nor one that has as much experience. Athletes that train at Superior Athletics show noticeable improvements in very short periods of time.
At Westside Barbell, Travis has spent extensive time learning the ins and outs of the Conjugate Perodization system which has been perfected by Louie Simmons. The Conjugate system is based upon using a variety of different exercises to help the athletes specifically become better based upon both their strengths and weaknesses.
This is not the normal routine personal training that you'd find at any commercial gym. Every workout is new and innovative to help the athlete become stronger, faster and better at their sport.
Conditioning training is equally as innovative involving tire flips, dragging weight sleds, sprinting up hills and pushing the Prowler.
Variety is the key, but don't be fooled, the variety is not random. Each exercise is a new and different way to make the athlete better in a new way.
Progress is charted so that the athlete can visibly see the results of their hard work! Perodically testing will be done to also evaluate where the athlete is at so that Travis may stay current on where the athlete is at in relation to his or her performance.
